A traditional treat with little twist. healthy yet tasty 🙂

chakali

 

Ingredients:
2 Cup Chakalichi Bhajani
1 Tbsp Seame seed/til
2 Cup warm water
2 Tsp Asefoetida
1 Tsp carom seed/Ova
2 Tbsp Red chilli powder or as per taste
2 1/2 Tbsp  Oil
salt as per taste

Method:
In a pan heat the oil until smoking point, pour on the bhajani directly(Mohan, called in marathi). Add the remaining ingredients mix well and make a soft pliable dough using warm water.
Preheat oven at 400°f (204/205°c).

Put the mixture into a chakali press and  start into spiral form on a greased baking tray.aluminium foil. Bake the chakalis in a pre-heated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, turning all once after 15 to 20 minutes. (u can change baking time as oven temperature varies as per oven ).
Store in a air tight container after cooling.
