Ingredients:

1/3 Cup toor daal (US Measurement)
2 cup water
pinch of asefoetida
¼ tsp turmeric
3 garlic cloves
¼ inch ginger
1/4 Tsp Mustard seeds
1/2 Tsp cumin seeds
2 dry red chillies
7-8 Curry leaves
1 Tbsp oil
1 Tbsp chopped Coriander
salt for taste

Method:
Wash daal, add water, turmeric and asefoetida in pressure cooker. Cook on medium heat till 4 whistle. Let it cool. Meanwhile make ginger garlic paste.
In a pan heat oil and make tempering with mustard and cumin seeds. Add ginger garlic paste, Saute till garlic leaves its raw smell, add curry leaves, red chillies and add to boiled daal. add salt mix well, cook for 5 min on low heat, garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with chapati, rice.
