A special treat for fasting people. Little healthy than fried sabudana vada.

Ingredients:
around 1/2 cup soaked Sabudana (1/4 cup dried sabudana)
2 small/medium size potatoes
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
2 Tbsp  roasted and coarsely grounded peanuts
1-2 Green chilies(chopped finely or paste)
salt/saindhav/sendha namak for taste
1 Tbsp chopped coriander
Oil/ghee to apply on thalipeeth

Wash potatoes and boil them, then peel and mash it. In a bowl take all the ingredients except oil and mix well, check for salt and spiciness.

Make equal portions of lemon size. Now on a flat surface take plastic sheet and place sabudana ball on that,
DSC_0027 (800x386) place another plastic sheet over that ball and flatten it in round shape with your palm.

Meanwhile, heat a nonstick pan on medium heat, spread few drops of oil. Now remove the sheet from the thalipeet and carefully take of on your palm.

Place it on heated pan and cook from both sides till it become golden and crispy.

Repeat for remaining portions and serve with yougurt, peanut chutney.

Tips:
1) Make sure sabudana is soft.
2) One can use red chili powder, but thalipeet will become red in color.
3) If not using plastic sheets, apply some oil on your palm and flatten it. But plastic sheets make more easier to clean and less messy also it is best to avoid sticking. If using plastic sheet, one can also use rolling pin to flatten it.
