An another favorite dish from my house. When you are so confused what to make, this my go to dish. Just make it and serve with rice! As I always make Grounded gravy paste/masala in batches and store it in my refrigerator, it just makes everything easy and less time consuming.

Ingredient:
Cooking lentils in pressure cooker:
1/2 Cup Black eyed peas
1/4th Tsp  Turmeric
salt as taste
1 1/2 cup water for boiling
water to wash lentils
Curry:
1- 1/2 Tbsp Oil
2 Tbsp Grounded gravy paste
1/4th Tsp Cumin seeds/Jeera
1/2 Tsp Red chili powder
1/4th Tsp Garam masala powder
1/4th Tsp Coriander powder
pinch of hing
1 1/2 cup water
salt if needed

Method:
Wash Black eyed peas 2-4 times. Transfer it to a pressure cooker. Add salt , turmeric and water mentioned in cooking lentils. Cover the lid and cook it on medium low heat up to 5-6 whistle or until lentils are totally cooked. let it cool.
In pan heat oil. Add Cumin seeds and let it splutter. Add grounded gravy paste saute for 30 seconds. Add red chili powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder hing. cook it for 15 seconds. Add cooked blacked eyed peas with the water. Add remaining water and let it shimmer on medium low heat until the curry reduced a little beat and oil floating on the surface. Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with cooked white rice, sweet & sour lemon pickle and chopped raw onion.
