A popular dish from North India which is perfect for breakfast. It is known as Bedmi puri/poori, Bedmi aloo which is made of using whole wheat flour, grounded lentil flour, spices and deep fried. An another way to make it with whole wheat atta, and stuff with Black gram(white urad dal) with spices which is also known as bedmi kachori. This recipe is shared by one my friend which I prepare and enjoy with Aamras /mango pulp and aloo sabji/ batatyachi chutney

Ingredients:
1 Cup Whole wheat aata
1/4 Cup Yellow moong daal
2 Tbsp White urad dal(Dhooli urad daal)
1/4 tsp Red chilli powder
1/4 tsp  Whole coriander seeds/Coriander powder
1/4 tsp Garam masala
1/2 Tsp salt(or little more)
¼ Tsp Fennel seeds
pinch of Asefoetida/hing

How to make Bedmi Puri:
In a mixer grinder take coriander seeds, fennel seeds and grind it to make powder. Add washed moong dal and urad daal and grind it to coarsely paste. Now take whole wheat flour in a bowl, add coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala, salt and mix it.  add grounded mixture and try to make dough. Add water little by little and make dough out of it. Make small balls out of the dough and roll out it to make puris. Deep fry untill it puffs up completely and little golden in color, your Bedmi Puri is ready.
